JPPG stands for Jawatankuasa Penyelarasan Pendidikan Guru (Teacher Education Coordinating Committee). The year 2008 sees the Educational Studies Division, College of Arts and Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia in collaboration with the Malaysian Council of Deans of Education and Ministry of Education Malaysia together hosting the national seminar, which takes on the theme Innovation and Challenges in the Teaching Profession.
